I began building furniture out of necessity, and I continue with passion.”
Larry’s interest in furniture design and construction was sparked almost immediately after he moved to Taos, New Mexico. As he attempted to furnish my home, he became intrigued by the scraps of wood he was burning for heat, and began to construct simple artistic pieces of furniture for all areas of the house.
In the years that followed he developed a sharper awareness of furniture design and began to develop a style of my own. Being largely self taught in both the design and construction of furniture, Larry’s style is always evolving, and as it continues to move forward it seems to strongly echo the forms of the Shakers with a Japanese sensibility.
