Thomas Siciliano is a Minnesota artist. He started making paper in 1989 during college and continued on to graduate school to study fiber arts. He continues to experiment with natural and recycled material in the art of papermaking. For this line of papers, he uses cotton, straw and clay for the basic paper. Most of the herbs, flowers, and vegetables are from Tom’s garden and collecting. After drying, he subtly infuses them with dye to bring back some of the original vibrancy and drama. All of Tom’s work is beautifully framed due in part to his other vocation of being a picture framer.
